Arriving in Canada
The closest international airport to Thunder Beach, Ontario is Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The distance to Thunder Beach once you land is approximately 150 km.
Getting to Thunder Beach
from the Airport
Thunder Beach is located about 2 hours north of Toronto. There is no public transportation outside of Toronto, so we strongly advise you to rent a car upon arrival or carpool. There are also no Ubers or cabs accessible in the area. If you don’t want to drive, there is a shuttle service which you can learn more about at https://www.simcoecountyairportservice.ca/. We have quite a few guests coming from out of town so if you’d like us to introduce you to anyone for carpooling please reach out to Emily and Alex.
While we ask that everyone drive themselves to and from the ceremony, we’ve arranged for a shuttle service to transport guests to and from the reception so that you don’t need to worry about driving or parking on the evening of our wedding. There is a free parking area located at the Thunder Beach Clubhouse (150 Green Point Road). We will have a shuttle service picking guests up here after our ceremony and transporting you to the reception venue. Shuttles will be departing from the clubhouse in 10-minute increments between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. The shuttles will also be available to take you home at the end of the evening - we will also have a shuttle service dropping guests back to their cottages in Thunder Beach from 10:00 pm until approximately 1:00 am.
To keep things safe and convenient, we encourage everyone to use this shuttle service and avoid driving to and from the reception. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Emily and/or Alex.
